After 4 days out of town. But I'm leaving for Chicago on Sunday. - I decided to add local gas prices for Cookeville, TN to the site, thanks to Gas Buddy. The price has gotten so high any info is good info.

Well my internet is back up.

Been down for 2 days - I has an appiontment with Charter to come out today - The tech cancelled the appointment with no notice - said I had signal to my modem. Well I agree - but I was a network admin at one time - I had signal but no DCHP connect. Well after 6 people and 2 hours thay say they will be here Tuesday the 22nd. Well you ask how I'm posting this?? and how my weather station is back on line? - well 2 hours after I got off the phone with them it magically came back on. The whole spill they go through with unplug, reboot and all that - well guess what - I NEVER TOUCHED A THING HERE! No reboots - no recycling the modem - not a thing. They kept saying it was on my end - well guess what Charter - IT WASN'T ON MY END! When it went down I did the trick of ipconfig /release and got it to release - well when I used ipconfig /renew - it wouldn't - which means no DCHP signal coming in from the cable connection. I guess after raising enough h3ll with them and threating to cancel thay decided to work on it from their end. I got one thing to say - Hey Charter - I ain't that stupid. And I won't cancel the appointment on Tursday. Let them make up for not showing up today.

If anyone has any sugestions for another ISP here - let me know - BTW - I use VOIP and no phone line here.

Rain, Sleet & Snow!

Well I got home in time to see rain. sleet and snow today! It covered the mulch on the ground but I couldn't get any good pictures. We also have chances for more this evening and frost warnings for the AM. Here it is the middle of April and Mother Nature is giving us the cold shoulder! Let's hope for a rapid return to warm weather.
